UDR Staff

A small professional staff carries out the daily operations of Utah Dispute Resolution and coordinates a large group of volunteers who provide mediation services. UDR's staff members include:

Nancy McGahey, Executive Director
Nancy McGahey is the Executive Director for Utah Dispute Resolution. She received her initial mediation training in New Mexico in 1988. Since that time, she has mediated disputes in a variety of contexts, including family, divorce, co-parenting, relationship, victim-offender, workplace, small claims, and civil matters. Nancy is listed on the court-annexed ADR Roster and mediates for the Co-Parenting Mediation Program. She is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution and the Utah Council for Conflict Resolution. Nancy holds two Masters degrees in interpersonal communication and training from the University of New Mexico, and completed a post-graduate certificate from the University of Utah in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Anne Hart, Case Manager
As Case Manager, Anne conducts intake for family and community mediations, and schedules mediations. Anne graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Speech Communication and Public Relations. She later completed the Post Graduate Certificate Program in Conflict Resolution through the University of Utah. Anne's prior work experience includes inventory processing for  Backcountry.com and managing customer service for Mountain Mamas. She also coordinated a youth leadership program in Park City and continues to teach skiing at Brighton Resort.

Airen Goodman, Youth Program
Airen serves as UDR's full-time Youth Program Coordinator. She provides instruction on conflict resolution and mediation skills for at-risk youth, primarily at the Horizonte School. Airen holds a Masters degree in psychology with an emphasis in mediation and conflict resolution. She is a Utah State court-rostered mediator. Airen has been involved with ADR for a number of years and serves as the Administrator with UCCR. Airen has worked as a supervisor with 4 the Youth, Inc. in Pleasant Grove, where she has served as a proctor/foster parent, youth mentor and counselor for at-risk youth in state custody. She also worked on the mobile crisis outreach team as a youth specialist with the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute.

Rocio Astorga, Case Manager/Training Coordinator
Rocio assists with intake and case management for family and community mediations. As a bilingual speaker of English and Spanish, Rocio helps Spanish-speaking clients who seek help resolving their disputes through mediation. 
As UDR's Training Coordinator, she handles registrations and oversees logistics for mediation training seminars. She recently graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and Spanish from the University of Utah. Rocio has owned and operated her own State-licensed day care and worked for the Marriott Vacation Club International in customer service.

Haylee Hunsaker, Case Manager
Haylee is UDR's newest staff member. She serves two functions: assisting with case management for UDR's Family and Community programs, and overseeing administrative responsibilities for UDR's Court program. Haylee recently graduated from Utah State University with a B.A. degree in Communication Studies. Her previous experience includes undergraduate research in the USU Family Communication Lab, being an Assistant Coach for the USU Speech and Debate Team, and was a Policy Analyst intern for Utah Health Policy Project.
