UDR Funding

As a 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation, Utah Dispute Resolution relies on donations from private foundations, organizations, and individuals to fund the cost of operation. This funding source comprises about half of UDR's annual revenue. Another major source of revenue is raised through UDR's training efforts. Additional funds come from public entities such as schools in payment for training and services. These funding sources allow the organization to provide free or reduced fee services for low-income parties who could not afford to hire a private mediator.

This graph shows the funding sources for UDR.

About half of UDR's annual budget is generated from private foundations and organizations that believe in UDR's mission. In recent years, supporters have included:
  • Utah State Bar
  • Marriner S. Eccles Foundation
  • George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation
  • Michael Foundation
  • S.J. and Jessie Quinney Foundation
  • Burton Foundation
  • And Justice for All
  • Utah Bar Foundation (IOLTA)
  • UBS Bank
  • Nye Family Foundation
  • O.C. Tanner Company
  • Allison Women Family Foundation
  • American Express Center for Community Development
  • Kennecott Charitable Foundation
